At Quesify, we are passionate about making hands-on science education accessible to all students across North Carolina. Our focus is on underfunded and underserved school districts that face significant resource gaps, limiting students’ opportunities to engage in interactive biology and anatomy learning.
Through our free dissection kits and educational support, we empower teachers and students to explore biology firsthand, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of life sciences that can inspire future STEM careers.
Why North Carolina Needs Us
Funding Level
North Carolina ranks 48th nationally for per-pupil funding, investing significantly less than the national average in public education. This limits essential classroom resources, including lab materials like dissection kits.
Funding Effort
The state ranks 49th in funding effort — the share of state wealth allocated to education — showing that North Carolina does not prioritize public schools enough to meet student needs.
Funding Distribution
While funding is somewhat targeted to poorer districts, overall NC’s distribution still leaves many students underserved, particularly in rural and low-income areas where science resources are scarce.
Impact on Education
This chronic underfunding affects teacher salaries, available resources, and hands-on learning opportunities. Many schools simply cannot afford to provide students with engaging materials like dissection kits — that’s where we step in.
